Ima Showoff/ Girl

Dear J&E

     I like to be the best at things. I've always been the best, it's in my blood, but lately my friends have said I'm a selfcentered-showoff. I'm not like those spoiled brats on TV, I don't do a happy dance everytime I win things, but I'm used to being the center of attention and all of that. I've tried to stop my constant obsession with myself, but I can't stop myself. Then my friend "June" told me about this website and said that you guys would tell me what I should do about it. And I've looked at your past advice and saw you guys were great at this. So work your magic, what do I do about my showoffy-selfcenteredness?

Dear Ima Showoff,

    Emily here, and I think that at times it is good to be a showoff, but at others it isnt. At times it is good to be a showoff, it's because you're showing your true talent, but when you show off too much it's a big problem.  You're not really showing people your true talent, like your friends said, your being the center of attention. It really isn't good to be the center of attention. One- if your the center of attention, you probably lose your personal space. Two- when your the center of attention, alot of people won't like you as much. So, what I'm is don't be the center of attention, even though your showing your talents, your being arrogant. Try to care about other people's feelings, be less showoffy at all times. Before I leave, tell June she's totally awesome by showing you this website.
